The places that we visit will be rated from 0-5 based on certain criteria pertinent to handicap accessibility. There will be a score of up to 50 points for each location. Please keep in mind, a lower score does not mean we are not recommending a place of interest.
Website: Does their website give information on the accessibility of their location? How much info is given? Is it helpful?
Parking: Is there sufficient handicap parking and/or transportation options?
Pricing: Are there any discounts for handicap people who may not be able to participate in all that the location has to offer? Do they charge more?
Mobility aids/devices: Do they offer mobility devices to borrow/rent? How much? What is the process, first come first serve, can they be reserved?
Entrance: Are there accommodations at the entrance?
Bathrooms: How easy is it to maneuver in the restrooms? Are they clean?
Attraction: Is everything available to people with disabilities? If not, how much is? We know that for some just watching their friends and family enjoy something makes it worth it, so please be sure to read any comments!
Accessibility: Was the location itself easy to access? If there were restaurants or gift shops where they wide enough to my power chair? Was the terrain accommodatable?
Helpfulness: Was the staff aware of ADA accommodations? Were they helpful in providing information on the location? Were they willing to provide additional assistance?
Overall Experience: Did we enjoy ourselves? Would we go back?
